Rosie’s Reading Tasmania wants to turn every Tasmanian holiday into a story-filled adventure, swapping screens for books and inspiring families to read books every day - on holiday and at home.
Rosie’s Reading invites accommodation properties across Tasmania to join us in our mission to raise awareness of the importance of daily reading for our Little Tasmanians so we can make a generational shift, where every Tasmanian child arrives to school with a love of reading, a big imagination and a hunger to learn.

BOOK WEEK COSTUMES
Why not have a bit of fun with guests? Allowing staff to choose a day/s when they do their shift in a book week costume can be a lot of fun. We’ll supply a little sign for you at Reception so your guests know what’s happening and the amazing cause you’re supporting.
RAISE FUNDS
Your property can choose to make a donation from every stay or simply to host a tent card in every room during Children’s Book Week annually to allow guests to make a donation. Every cent of every dollar donated goes toward book deliveries to Tasmanian kids as part of the powerful Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. We have no administration or staff costs.
Rosie’s LOBBY LIBRARY
Rosie’s Reading can supply a mini book selection of 30 children’s books for ages 0-10 at $395 or a library of 60 books at $685 that are yours to keep and can be loaned to your little guests and their carers. Books can be displayed on your own shelving with helpful signage to be provided by our sponsor Flying Colours within that donation. These will be rolled out in October 2025, but you can always have a selection of books ready to go if you like.
